By downloading, accessing, or using Breakaway, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Breakaway is an independent editorial and historical archive of Belizean cycling. It is not the Cycling Federation of Belize, and nothing in the app should be taken to imply federation affiliation or endorsement.

Official race results remain attributable to their respective organizers or governing bodies. Breakaway compiles and presents this history for editorial and archival purposes.

Breakaway is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. You are responsible for using the app in compliance with applicable law.

You can browse Breakaway without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for the activity that occurs under it and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Authentication is provided by a third-party provider.

You agree not to scrape or bulk-extract the archive, disrupt or interfere with the service, reverse engineer the app, impersonate others, submit fraudulent corrections, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.

You should only submit material — including feedback and proposed corrections — that you have the right to provide.

The archive reflects Breakaway’s editorial compilation of historical cycling information. Editorial statuses such as Official, Historical, Community Verified, Provisional, Incomplete, and Record Unavailable are used to communicate the verification level of a given record.

Breakaway may preserve factual historical race information independently of any user account.

Historical records may be incomplete and may be corrected when better evidence becomes available. We work to improve accuracy over time, but we do not warrant that every record is complete or error-free.

You can submit corrections, missing results, and other feedback. Submitting feedback does not guarantee that a requested change will be published. Breakaway reviews submissions and decides, at its discretion, whether and how to act on them.

The Breakaway name, branding, editorial content, original design, and compilation of the archive are the property of Breakaway or its licensors, except where otherwise credited. You may not use them without permission.

Race names, team names, and other marks referenced in the archive belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial purposes. Official results remain attributable to their organizers or governing bodies.

Breakaway relies on third-party services (such as authentication and infrastructure providers) and may reference third-party materials. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, which are governed by their own terms.

We aim to keep Breakaway available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

Breakaway may change, pause, add, or discontinue features at any time. We may also preserve factual historical race information independently of user accounts.

We may suspend or terminate access to Breakaway, or to an account, if we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or to protect the service and its users.

Breakaway is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes the completeness or accuracy of historical records.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Breakaway and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

We may update these terms as Breakaway evolves. When we make material changes, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the governing jurisdiction [to be confirmed by Breakaway before release]. This jurisdiction is being confirmed and will be finalized before public release.
